All the roads lead to ... Zakopane!
There are numerous possibilities:

• By train
  Zakopane has connections to most Polish towns
  To Cracow in 3-4hrs, fare is 20 PLN one-way

• By bus
  This means of transportation is a much faster one.
  Most Polish towns have direct bus connections with Zakopane.
  Coaches leave Cracow for Zakopane every 30 mins, with the whole travel time approximating 2 hrs (the fastest and highly recommended way of getting to Zakopane).

• By car
  Famous Zakopianka highway (Cracow-Zakopane) is about 100 kms long.
  Beware of heavy traffic due to its current modernization though. Chance
  to admire beautiful views over Tatra mountains beginning half-way through.
  
  
• By plane
  Unfortunately, there is no airport closer to Zakopane than an international one in Cracow-Balice.
